Hey guys.
I've written a guide to DM/DA scrapping over on the LLoD boards.
Feel free to check it out and call me all kinds of idiot. I will be posting it on the official boards, but only after a few people have viewed it on these boards.

Pretty good overview on what is a bloody tricky scrapper combo to play/level Always enjoy reading guides like this from players who have spent a boat load of time using them.
Think I've used respecs on mine more than any other character I've got or had and it still never seems 'right'. I've got the first three attacks to try and have a decent chain going but I don't have the dmg aura and I know I'm hurting because of it :-\ Then if I take it at 35 I miss out on the funky Opp Gloom gah!
As I don't have the power (my DM/DA gal is perma pre lvl 32 for 2+ years) but isn't the self rez power now rooted as a 5 second immob? I know they recently changed it on the regen revive power, not sure for the DA one. _________________

Can't remeber the last time I used it. Will try it out tonight.
You always used to be able to fly away during the raising up in the air section of the animation all the while raising your toggles.
Well it's now on the official boards, I await the flames of wrath.

Aparently the end cost has dropped to 0.2 for most of the passive toggles.
I slot end redux first as they have twice the effect of the damage res ones. When your running TO's and DO's, best bang for the slots.
And there is no way what so ever you can play /DA without stamina.
I'll be posting up BS/DA builds and SPN/DA builds over the next couple of weeks. I love spines but I really hate the way most body types look with the spines animation though. _________________

Here's a little update to my currently build. I will soon be respec'ing back into dark mastery so I can get Teb tenticles and then slot it with 4 or 5 of the targeted AoE purples.
But here it is as current.
Highlights:
Recovery: 198% (3.93/s)
Max End: 119
Time to max end: 25.4sec
Regen: 273% (19.9/s)
Max HP: 1752
Time to max health: 88sec

intresting build dag, No ckoak of fear? granted it's a very end heavy toggle but when you don't have a lot of aoe it is handy.
Mobs getting into melee range and quakeing with fear is a good anti-damage system. (you cannot combine this with death shroud as that just breaks the fear)
and when the fear is broken mobs get a hefty -acc which should stack well with the -acc from dark melee (well in theory)
I always liked you spines/da because I seem to remember like mine you made it ages back (i4) when it was a turely insane set choise
for thoes who never tried DA back in i4, even with 6 slot stamina and 2 end reducers in every toggle if you turned them all on at once your end would go down
however I don't play my spines/da any more for the simple reason that the reason I started her was not because it was a good or hard to play set, but simply because I wanted to be a black blob with spines sticking out of it.
And for a short while before we had a short lived glut of them, I really enjoyed being that black blob with spines sticking out and being one of the few about.
Then some pvp person decided they were good and we had a glut of them but far far more annoying to me was the devs stole my spines
The other strange thing is that when ever I do dust her off I find myself missing all the constant droneing, binging and humming all the toggles used to make.
Still remember Obsidian Shield as it used to sound exactly like a glowy at the edge of the sound effect radious, which made hunting glowies a truely insane task. |
